CORIANDER OIL
Scientists have tested coriander oil – taken from the seeds – and found it to be effective against 12 lethal bacteria. The team from the University of Beira Interior found that the oil attacks and kills the outer membrane of a number of bacteria cells, including E.coli, MRSA and salmonella.
It is hoped that in the future coriander oil can be used beneficially in cases of food poisoning, and hospital acquired infections.
