Do you…

  • Like the idea of being more self sufficient but you’re not really sure where to start?

  • Want to eat food that is fresher? Want to use fewer chemicals? Want to be a little greener but you don’t quite know how to go about it?

  • Want to escape the rat race? Want to downsize but you don’t know where to begin?

At the start, these very ideas can seem daunting, especially if you’re working on your own. So why not let us give you a helping hand.

Come join us at our home, Cortijo de Sueños in the beautiful Alpujarra district amongst the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Spain, where, in a relaxing and fun environment with other like- minded people, you too can learn how to take the first steps on the road to self sufficiency.

What do we offer?

Our Sun, Sea and Self Sufficiency course is an introduction to self sufficiency. Join us on our working herb farm in the beautiful Alpujarra and you will spend 5 fantastic days learning the skills that will enable you to live a more self sufficient lifestyle. Located near the spa village of Lanjarón and set amongst rustic olive groves overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, there can be no more a relaxing place to learn the basics of self sufficiency.

News

Grow your own drugs

A TV series on BBC 2 used controversial language to attract audience attention, when in fact the subject matter is thousands of years old. Ancient civilisations grew their own drugs and in medieval times witches were burned at the stake for making herbal remedies. Join us on a one day introduction course, to discover how to grow your own drugs.

Urban Self Sufficiency

You don’t need acres of land in order to be more self sufficient. A windowsill can provide you with herbs, a balcony with sufficient salad veg, a patio with summer veg and even a small garden with year round fruit and vegetables. Join us to learn how you can be more self sufficient, regardless of your circumstances.
