Ashwagandha - a traditional Ayurvedic tonic herb, helps improve stamina and energy. Available in pill form from health shops and online
Epimedium – also known as Horny Goat Weed, a well known aphrodisiac that helps normal penile erection by dilating blood vessels to the penis. Taken as a tea and an ingredient in Chinese “Spring Wine”
Damiana - found mainly in Central and South America it is used internally for impotence, premature ejaculation, prostate complaints . Combined with Saw Palmetto and Kola and taken as a tea three times daily to help improve sexual performance
Gingko - a prehistoric herb that is considered sacred in China and Japan. Ginkgo has been scientifically proven to improve peripheral circulation and is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Taken as a tea three times daily
Saw Palmetto - perhaps one of the better known herbs for the treatment of prostate conditions. The herb can also be used as a preventive measure in men over 50, taken in courses of two to three months a year
Nettle – the roots are used to treat prostate enlargement and is often combined with Saw Palmetto. Nettle tea bags are generally available from supermarkets
Rosemary – a general circulatory tonic. Also used as a tonic to promote hair growth
NOTE: Most of these herbs are not easily grown in your garden and so are better obtained in capsule, or tea form from herbal shops
