Getting to Us
For all clients arriving on the Sunday before the course, airport transfers will be provided from either Granada or Malaga airports. Flights to Malaga are the most numerous and probably the cheapest.
For those clients who wish to arrive earlier the following options are available:
Car Hire
if you intend to tour the area, the easiest thing is to hire a car at Malaga or Granada airport, both airports have the major car hire companies and reservations can be made online.
From Malaga
drive along the coast road on E15/N340 towards Motril & Almeria. After the town of Salobrena take the N323 towards Granada, ( there are road-works on this road, but just keep heading towards Granada). Take the A 348 to Lanjaron & La Alpujarra, continue until you reach Lanjaron – there are no other major turnings off this road . The journey time is approximately 2 hours from Malaga.
From Granada
drive out of the airport for approx 1 km, take the slip road towards Granada , the A92, follow this for approx 1 km keeping in the right hand lane, take the first exit towards Santa Fe, stay on this road through traffic lights, until you come to a large roundabout ( there are a numerous car sales showrooms on either side of the road just before) take the right exit towars Motril the N323, follow this road for approx 25-28 km, until you see the turning for Lanjaron and La Alpujarra ( after the exit for Lecrin Valle) , Take the A 348 to Lanjaron continue until you reach Lanjaron – there are no other major turnings off this road
Parking in Lanjaron can be difficult, there is a small car park to the right of the first roundabout, or your hotel may have a car park. DO NOT park on the main street as you will get a ticket. It is not possible to hire a car in Lanjaron.
Bus
there are buses from Malaga to Lanjaron, you will first need to get from the airport to the bus station by local bus. The bus to Lanjaron is slow and stops at every village and takes at least 3 hours. There is a direct bus from Malaga to Granada which takes 11/2 hours, depending on the time we can pick you up from Granada, or there are local buses to Lanjaron several times a day.
