Self-Sufficiency Courses

Join us on our organic herb farm, set in the picturesque olive groves of the Alpujarra in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Andalucia, southern Spain for a variety of practical courses in self-sufficiency, organic gardening, small-holder construction and herbal walks.

We offer one-day, weekend and short courses to suit all needs, throughout the year.
Our one day courses take place at our Cortijo de los Suenos, above the spa village of Lanjaron or at Cortijo La Joya on the outskirts of Lanjaron.
Weekend courses are always at our cortijo and include accommodation in the village of Lanjaron if required.
Our 5 day Self-sufficiency course is based at our cortijo with accommodation in the village of Lanjaron and provides an introduction to those who are thinking of escaping the rat –race and becoming more self-sufficient.
Our courses are fun, practical , hands- on and cater for all ages, experience and ability.

Herbs

We grow a range of herbs organically on our herb farm, on the fertile terraces built  by the Moors hundreds of years ago, overlooking the Mediterranean sea and watered by the snow-melt from the Sierra Nevada mountains.
